Six years after Warren Buffett sold off all of Berkshire Hathaway's newspapers and predicted unending declines for the industry, Berkshire disclosed a new $350 million investment in The New York Times

Buffett may have departed the stage at the end last year but he’s still giving investors plenty of direction from the wings.

Regulatory filings indicate the company had continued trimming its Apple stake while pursuing a new position in The New York Times during his final quarter at the helm.

The billionaire investor's company disclosed an investment in the Times valued at more than $350M Tuesday. Buffett stepped aside as CEO last month.
