A detour will take drivers east of the bridge over the weekend.
Eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 East remained closed Wednesday evening as crews worked to patch a sinkhole, causing delays for evening commuters, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
The closures are being made as part of a project to expand Loop 1604 across the North Side and build a new interchange between it and Interstate 10.
